Abstract
As technology becomes embedded in everyday life and culture, HCI moves beyond efficiency and usability to encompass broader experiences, including embodiment, social interaction, and cultural context. In this shift, artistic and design making offer an alternative to engineering-driven approaches, enabling richer discussion and reflection on HCI. Against this backdrop, this lecture approaches XR as a form of sensory extension and discusses how XR tools can be used through artistic creation. The speaker will draw on his own creative practice and past works as case studies to discuss the relationship between art and technology.
