The CAMLab Certificate Program is a series of workshops held in the Immersive Theater Space at CAMLab Cave, our physical hub at Harvard. Each workshop brings together distinguished experts and creative practitioners from both academia and industry.
Activating the advanced multimedia infrastructure of CAMLab’s facilities, workshop leaders experiment with multimedia storytelling at experiential scales while fostering creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking.
What We Offer
Each workshop is designed using a Universal Design for Learning framework to meet the needs of participants across various age groups. Topics are carefully curated with a learner-centered approach, exploring CAMLab’s practice areas such as virtual world-building, projection mapping, filmmaking, visual design, sound composition, and more.
Over the course of the workshop, participants will receive extensive, individualized mentorship from CAMLab team members. At the end of the workshop, participants will produce an outcome that showcases their knowledge.
This program also provides training courses, workshops, and lectures on media production and academic research led by world-renowned artists and scholars.
Upon completion, participants will receive official CAMLab certificates in acknowledgment of their participation and achievements.
Each session in the CAMLab Certificate Program may vary in size, content, and format to accommodate the interests of both professional experts and participants.
Some programs may also include field trips to local arts and cultural institutions in the Greater Boston area.
Group enrollment in courses is welcomed and offers greater flexibility to accommodate various learning needs and styles. We recommend booking at least two months in advance of the expected start date. For group inquiries, please contact camlab@fas.harvard.edu.
